Janhvi Kapoor offers prayers at Tirumala after Peddi release

Janhvi Kapoor, who played the female lead in “Peddi”, visited the Tirumala Tirupati temple today to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. The film premiered last night and opened in theatres worldwide this morning to strong collections and positive word of mouth.

Janhvi was accompanied by her aunt and actress Maheswari during the temple visit. Pictures and videos of their darshan have since gone viral on social media.

A devoted follower of Lord Venkateswara, Janhvi Kapoor frequently visits the Tirumala temple several times a year.

After making her Telugu debut with “Devara”, Janhvi returned to Telugu cinema with “Peddi”, her second film in the industry. In the movie, she plays Achiyamma, a village sarpanch’s daughter who is introduced as a strong-willed and spirited young woman, with the character receiving significant prominence in the film’s first act.

The actress is also said to have signed a key role in Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming film, “Raaka”.
