Anupama Parameswaran, known for seamlessly balancing bold, glamorous roles with performance-driven characters, currently has multiple projects lined up across different languages. Recently, she made headlines over a censor row surrounding her Malayalam film Janaki v/s State of Kerala (JSK).
The film faced hurdles from the censor board due to the use of the name “Janaki” in the title, triggering legal complications. After a prolonged legal battle, the makers finally received clearance. The film is now slated for release this week, marking the long-awaited arrival of her Malayalam project.
However, another of her completed films still awaits a theatrical release.
Titled “Paradha”, this Telugu film is directed by Cinema Bandi fame Praveen Kandregula. Although Anupama wrapped up her work on the film quite some time ago, it has been delayed due to the lack of viable theatrical business deals.
With “Paradha” still stuck, Anupama is hoping for its early release so she can move ahead with her upcoming Telugu ventures. Currently, she is filming “Bhogi” opposite Sharwanand, directed by Sampath Nandi.
