Post ‘Baahubali 2’, Anushka Shetty has drastically reduced her acting assignments. Since the release of ‘Baahubali 2’ in 2017, she as a led heroine has done only two films – ‘Baagamathie’ and ‘Nishabdham’.
The cameo appearance in ‘Sye Raa’ was an obligation she couldn’t refuse as she respects Megastar Chiranjeevi highly.
The makers of ‘Nishabdham’ are still in confusion whether to release directly on the OTT platform or in theaters, although a streaming company has almost done a deal for direct digital release.
Then what’s next for Anushka’s next film? There were talks that she’s signed a Gautam Menon’s multi-lingual project but that is not happening as the Tamil director is in a deep financial mess.
Our sources say Anushka will not sign new films until she’s sure that the movie entirely revolves around her and she’d prefer to new movies to directors and producers who are very close to her. Henceforth, she may sign one movie in a year or two. Slowly, she will bid good-bye to acting.
