Top actress Anushka Shetty has rejected the proposal of heading the cast in a web series. An international streaming platform offered her huge remuneration to sign this multi-lingual web series but she said she has no interest now to enter digital space.
Amazon and Netflix have produced movies and web dramas with top range actresses like Julia Roberts, Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, and Nicole Kidman. Similarly, Anushka got the offer but she doesn’t want to step in. The streaming giant felt Anushka who is popular nationwide with the massive success of ‘Baahubali’ movies will suit a Pan-India drama.
Anushka has been maintaining low profile after wrapping ‘Nishabdham’, which was to release in the theaters on April 2nd. The film may now release on an OTT platform directly. She reluctantly gave nod to the producers to skip the theatrical window. But she doesn’t want to act in a web drama.
