Ashika Ranganath, known for her striking looks, has made a mark with her glamorous screen presence. However, she hasn’t yet secured mainstream roles opposite younger heroes. Instead, she’s increasingly being cast in films headlined by senior stars.
She played the role of Nagarjuna’s girlfriend in “Naa Saami Ranga,” her first major hit in Telugu cinema. Nagarjuna is in his sixties, and Ashika is currently working on Vishwambhara, starring 69-year-old megastar Chiranjeevi. Although she acted alongside Nandamuri Kalyanram early in her Telugu career, most of her recent offers have come from films featuring veteran actors.
The latest buzz is that she may also star opposite another senior actor — Ravi Teja.
The 58-year-old star launched his 76th film (#RT76) today, directed by Kishore Tirumala. While the makers have yet to officially announce the cast, reports suggest that Ashika Ranganath and Ketika Sharma are being considered as the female leads.
