After a while, Bellamkonda Sreenivas has scored a modest success. Most of his recent films tanked at the box office, but “Kishkindhapuri” brought him relief.
Released in theaters on September 12, “Kishkindhapuri” officially reached its breakeven point across all territories as of yesterday. Despite being a Tuesday, the film continued to hold strong at the box office and is showing steady performance even today. This is the first film for Bellamkonda Sreenivas to reach the breakeven mark in many years.
Produced by Sahu Garapati and starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran as the lead pair, “Kishkindhapuri” gained positive word of mouth from audiences.
With momentum firmly in its favor, Kishkindhapuri is now on track to achieve profits. Megastar Chiranjeevi also appreciated the team and congratulated them on the success.
The film was directed by Kaushik Pegallapati and received mixed reviews, though the sound design and background score were particularly appreciated. Interestingly, this marks the second successful film for Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and Anupama Parameswaran, following their previous hit collaboration, Rakshasudu.
For Anupama Parameswaran, “Kishkindhapuri”comes as a relief, especially after her recent Telugu release Paradha—her first female-centric film—tank at the box office. With this success, she is now likely to approach new projects in a more positive and confident mode.
