Bimbisara crosses the 20 Cr mark in AP and TS

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram scored a big blockbuster in his career at the right time. ‘Bimbisara’, the most expensive film in his career, turned out to be a huge blockbuster. The Moharram holiday on Tuesday helped the film gross more money.

In five days, the film collected a share of Rs 20 crore (including GST) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This is the highest grosser in Telugu states. Many films including ‘The Warrior (Rs 17 Cr) and ‘Ramarao on Duty’ (Rs 8 Cr) failed to post good numbers. ‘Bimbisara’ not only crossed the Rs 20 crore mark in 5 days but is also poised to touch the Rs 30 crore milestone.

Interestingly, ‘Bimbisara’ also created a new record in USA for a Kalyan Ram. The film will touch the milestone of $500k (half million dollars) by the end of the first week. A super hit film for Kalyan Ram in the USA!

Directed by newcomer Vasissht, the makers are planning the second installment in this franchise.
