Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is in a happy space now that his thriller ‘118’ is in a safe zone. Business wise, the K V Guhan directed movie will be declared a cool and easy hit by the end of its first week (the movie released last Friday).
Dil Raju has distributed ‘118’. So far, the movie has collected Rs 5.5 Cr. It posted very good figures on Monday (Shivaratri holiday made it possible). In Nizam, multiplexes are helping in this.
In another two days, the film is all set to recover all its theatrical rights, including costs. The film will achieve break-even in a day.
Needless to say, ‘118’ is Kalyan Ram’s first hit since ‘Pataas’, which released four years ago. The film is produced by Mahesh Koneru. Had the film hit the screens in the first week of Feb, it would have been better hit. March is generally considered bad season for collections. Still, it has made decent moolah.
