Anil Sunkara is set to produce Mahesh Babu’s movie in the direction of Anil Ravipudi. Touted to be a breezy entertainer (with massy ingredients), the film will be shot from May or June. It will release for January 2020.
What is the remuneration that Mahesh is charging for doing this big-ticket movie? It’s learned that he has adopted a new model of charging ‘fee’ for this particular project. He will not take any fee. Instead, the superstar has chosen to go for the digital, satellite and Hindi dubbing rights. It’s well known that these three can earn up to Rs 40-50 Cr for a Mahesh movie.
Nowadays, streaming sites are buying the movies of big Telugu stars for a bomb. As for satellite rights, they have been fetching super-high figures for a few years now.
So, Mahesh is going to get a record high remuneration for any Tollywood star. Smart actor indeed!
