Bollywood star Deepika Padukone reportedly declined a major international opportunity. She was said to be the preferred choice for a key role in the fourth season of the globally popular series “The White Lotus.”
According to reports, Deepika initially showed interest in the project. However, she later turned down the offer. Industry buzz suggests she was not keen on going through an audition process, considering her stature as a global star.
Deepika has previously appeared in Hollywood films but has never acted in an international television series. If she had accepted the role, it would have marked her OTT debut in the West and potentially expanded her global reach even further, as “The White Lotus” is among the most watched and critically acclaimed shows worldwide.
Currently, Deepika is busy with Allu Arjun–Atlee’s upcoming film and Shah Rukh Khan’s “King”. She has also reportedly exited “Kalki 2” starring Prabhas.
