Dil Raju has long been known for backing clean, family-friendly entertainers. His production house, Sree Venkateswara Creations, has delivered several blockbusters with top stars while largely steering clear of violent or action-heavy films. The banner built its reputation on content that appealed strongly to family audiences.
However, the noted producer has been going through a rough phase of late. Except for this year’s “Sankranthiki Vastunnam,” most of his recent productions failed to make an impact at the box office. This downturn appears to have prompted a shift in strategy.
His upcoming film “Rowdy Janardhana,” starring Vijay Deverakonda, marks a clear departure from his usual style. The title glimpse released yesterday showcased intense violence and blood-soaked action, signaling a bold new direction for the banner.
Speaking about this change, Dil Raju said he is keen on adapting to current audience preferences, noting that many of today’s biggest blockbusters are driven by high-octane action and violence. He added that failing to keep pace with evolving trends could result in audiences losing interest in him and his production house.
Looking ahead to 2026, Sree Venkateswara Creations is gearing up to release multiple projects besides “Rowdy Janardhana.” The banner is also set to venture further into Bollywood with a film starring Akshay Kumar.
