A major shift appears to be underway behind the scenes in the Telugu film industry. Senior producer Dil Raju and young producer Naga Vamsi, who shared a long-standing professional association, are now said to have gone their separate ways, with the impact already visible on film distribution deals.
Dil Raju, one of the most influential figures in Tollywood and the current Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, had been closely associated with Naga Vamsi and his uncle, producer S. Radha Krishna, for several years. Films produced by the duo were consistently released in the Nizam region through Dil Raju’s SVC distribution banner.
However, industry buzz suggests that this partnership has recently ended. According to sources, Naga Vamsi is now planning to release his upcoming projects in Telangana through Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna distribution banner, marking a significant shift in his release strategy.
While neither party has issued an official statement, insiders hint that differences related to financial dealings may have contributed to the change. What remains unclear is how and when the decision was finalized, and whether the separation is temporary or permanent.
