Comedians transitioning into lead roles is not a new trend. Actors like Brahmanandam, Ali, Vennela Kishore, Srinivasa Reddy, Priyadarshi and Suhas have all taken that route at various points in their careers. Joining the list now is Satya, who is set to headline a new film titled “Jet Lee.”
The first-look poster features Satya atop a fighter jet, striking a kung-fu pose. The tagline reads “done with comedy,” a playful hint that he is stepping into a full-fledged lead role. “Jet Lee” is directed by Ritesh Rana, known for Mathu Vadalara and Mathu Vadalara 2, both of which featured Satya in memorable comic roles.
“Jet Lee” is produced by Cherry and Hemalatha under the Clap Entertainment banner.
Satya will pair up with Rhea Singha, beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe India 2024. Kaala Bhairava is the music director.
