Rumors about veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s death due to illness went viral on social media, prompting several celebrities from Bollywood and Tollywood to mistakenly post condolence messages. Many mainstream media outlets reported the news first.
However, his family members including wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol strongly refuted the false reports and urged everyone to stop spreading misinformation.
Esha Deol shared an update on her father’s health, assuring fans that Dharmendra is responding well to treatment. She wrote on Instagram, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”
Hema Malini also expressed her outrage on X (Twitter), writing, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most beloved stars, has acted in several iconic blockbusters, including Sholay, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Seeta Aur Geeta.
