Exclusive: Allu Arjun – Sukumar's film to begin next month

Putting an end to all sort of speculations, Allu Arjun and director Sukumar are taking their new film to the sets shortly. The untitled film will be officially launched this month during this auspicious period of Sravana masam. A right muhurtham is yet to be fixed. However, the movie’s regular shoot will commence from September itself.
 
Our sources informed that Allu Arjun has heard complete narration of the bounded script that Sukumar prepared. The film will have red sanders (Erra Chandanam) smuggling as its story backdrop.
 
Sukumar will be presenting Allu Arjun in completely drastic different avatar.
 
Rashmika Mandanna has been cast as main female lead. Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film.

It must be recalled that Sukumar was to direct a movie with Mahesh Babu soon after the release of ‘Rangasthalam’ but they had parted ways due to differences. Later Sukumar approached Allu Arjun and got his nod. But Allu Arjun has already agreed to star in director Trivikram’s and director Venu Sriram’s films even before Sukumar approached him. In the recent months, there were reports that Sukumar and Bunny’s film has been pushed to next year and Bunny will take up Venu Sriram’s ‘Icon’ first.
