Exclusive: Khaidi No 150: Catherine out, Lakshmi Rai In

Here is our exclusive scoop. Catherine Tresa is out from megastar Chiranjeevi’s prestigious movie ‘Khaidi No.150’. She is shown the exit door in the last minute. The reason for her ousting is yet to be known. But our sources say Catherine had a tiff with one of the technicians who is very close to Chiru and producer Ram Charan. This led to major issue on the sets, say a source. On the day of her first day of shoot for the item song, she was replaced by another heroine. Lakshmi Rai who is popular for doing item songs is now performing the song with megastar Chiranjeevi.

Catherine Tresa became popular with her portrayal of the character Young MLA in Allu Arjun starrer ‘Sarrainodu’. So, the team of ‘Khaidi No.150’ roped her in to do the item song and she readily agreed. The song was to begin its film shoot the other day. Now Lakshmi Rai has stepped in.

‘Khaidi No.150’ is megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback movie. He is returning to silver screen as lead hero after long gap of 9 years. The film is being directed by V V Vinayak and it has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Ram Charan is producing the movie on Konidela Productions banner while Chiru’s elder daughter is the costume designer for the movie.
