First Look: Rakul as shepherd girl in Kondapolam

Rakul Preet Singh is going for de-glam for director Krish’s upcoming film, Kondapolam, based on a novel of the same name. She plays Obulamma, a witty and brave shepherd girl. 

The first look of Rakul Preet Singh from the film was released today. A small glimpse from a song from the film shows Panja Vaisshnav Tej hugging Rakul Preet Singh affectionately from behind in the forest. 

The film features Panja Vaisshnav Tej as the male lead. He plays Kataru Ravindra Yadav, a shepherd who went on to become a techie.

Mostly known for glam roles, Rakul Preet Singh took this role as a challenge. She believes that it would give her a new name. 

Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Rajeev Reddy are producing ‘Kondapolam’ and it has music by MM Keeravani. The film will also feature some prominent actors.

‘Kondapolam’ is slated to hit the screens on October 8th.
