Geetha Govindam joins $2 million club

‘Geetha Govindam’ has joined the club of $2 million at US Box-office. This is latest Telugu film to secure a place in this club that has big hits like ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Mahanati’, ‘Fidaa’, ‘Khadi No 150’, ‘Nannaku Prematho’, and ‘A Aa’.

This is also Vijay Deverakonda’s (as solo lead hero) first $2 million movie. His past two hits in USA were ‘Pelli Choopulu’ ($1.22 million) and ‘Arjun Reddy’ ($1.77 million). The romantic entertainer directed by Parasuram is a musical hit too. Th instant hit ‘Inkem Inkem Inkem Kavale’, composed by Gopi Sundar and crooned by Sid Sriram, has helped the film to get huge focus on it and Vijay D’s craze made the film such a massive hit.

With ‘Geetha Govindam’ grossing $2+ million, Vijay Deverakonda has successfully established himself as one of the biggest stars in overseas market from Tollywood.
