Get ready for a huge number of benefit shows

With stiff competition between two Sankranthi biggies, distributors are looking for various avenues to squeeze as much money as they could on the opening day itself. Generally, one benefit show would be screened a day before a big movie’s release but this time the distributors are planning multiple shows.

‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ will start its midnight shows from 11 pm on 10th January itself. The same goes for ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ from 11th January. Before the morning show begins, two or three shows will be completed. But getting official permission in Telangana for such extra shows will be tough. How the exhibitors would crack rules?

Dil Raju bought ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ for a whopping Rs 33 crore for Nizam and Vizag region and he paid nearly Rs 26 crore to snatch the rights of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ for the same regions. Distributors of other areas have also paid huge sums. They need to recover the investment amidst this huge competition.
