Director Gopichand Malineni recently directed his first Bollywood movie, “Jaat,” starring Sunny Deol. The film has collected about Rs 60 Cr in India so far. While the makers declare it as a hit and have announced a sequel to it with the title “Jaat 2,” Gopichand Malineni could not get dates from Sunny Deol immediately.
If the film really is a blockbuster, it would be a wise move for Sunny Deol and Gopichand Malineni to begin the “Jaat 2” immediately. But the director said he had already committed to directing Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Gopichand Malineni will direct Balakrishna once again. They earlier teamed up for “Veera Simha Reddy,” which was a modest success. Malineni reportedly got the nod from Balayya, and the film will be launched in June formally.
Currently, Balakrishna is acting in “Akhanda 2,” being directed by Boyapati Sreenu.
