Responding to speculations that producer Suresh Babu has decided to shelve mythological drama ‘Hiranya Kashyapa’, director Gunasekhar tweeted that the film is very much on. He said the pre-production work has already been completed.
The regular shoot would have begun now had the corona crisis not happened, he said.
“#Hiranyakashyapa Pre-Production work is completely done. Awaiting normalcy to take things forward. #OmNamoNarayanaya,” he posted on Twitter.
He has begun the work on this film two years ago. The mythological drama was planned with a whopping budget of Rs 200 crore in multiple languages. It was said that production companies have decided to slash the budgets in the wake of economic recession and the corona crisis. A film like ‘Hiranya Kashyapa’ is too risky at this time.
But Gunasekhar is confident that he could pull off. He still states that the film will go to the sets.
Director Gunasehkar gave clarification on the rumors that his mythological movie, Hiranya Kashyapa, featuring Rana has been shelved.
