Happy birthday, Power Star!

Pawan Kalyan celebrates his 44rd birthday today (September 2). People’s favorite Powerstar has indeed come a long way in his filmy career and life in general. Way back in 1996 Pawan Kalyan who debuted into Telugu cinema with the film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, might not have thought that he will come this far. Today he is one of the most loved and cherished star in Telugu cinema.

Pawan Kalyan shot to fame with films like Gokulamlo Seetha, Suswagatham, Thammudu, Badri, Kushi. Post these films there was a lull in his filmy career. Most of the films made during this film did not really help his career thrive except for Jalsa. Then came Gabbar Singh that broke this lull and catapulted him to a new level altogether.

Attarintiki Daaredi came in 2013 and shattered all records. It was all-time highest grosser until Baahubali released. Now Powerstar has started shooting for his next film, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, the sequel of Gabbar Singh. This film was getting delayed for quite some time. But Pawan Kalyan has given his dates and the film is slowly covering its shoot schedules.

Pawan Kalyan is today regarded as the major political force in Telugu states. He played key role in Telugu Desam party’s win in Andhra Pradesh. Unhappy with his brother Chiranjeevi and his decision to merge Congress with Praja Rajayam, Pawan Kalyan floated his own party in 2014 which was named as Jana Sena. He has been questioning the ruling parties in Telugu states whenever injustices are being done.

Pawan Kalyan is now at the pinnacle of popularity both as star and as a politician.
