Samantha is returning to the silver screen in a lead role after a gap of three years. Her comeback film, “Maa Inti Bangaram”, has now completed its censor formalities and has been awarded a U/A certificate.
Touted to be a female-centric action drama, the film presents Samantha in a never-seen-before avatar. She is seen wielding guns and taking on goons while portraying a newly married woman dressed in a traditional saree. The contrast between a saree-clad homemaker and a fierce action performer is one of the film’s biggest attractions.
The trailer, released earlier, hinted at a mass-oriented action drama with Samantha carrying the film on her shoulders. The unique characterization and action-packed moments have generated curiosity among audiences.
Directed by B.V. Nandini Reddy and produced by Samantha herself under the Tralala Moving Pictures banner, “Maa Inti Bangaram” is slated for release on June 19.
With Samantha being the film’s biggest draw, all eyes are now on the actress as she gears up to lead the promotions in the days ahead. The film is an important project for her, marking her return as a solo lead after a considerable gap.
