‘Happy Birthday’ to gain a lead this weekend

Every weekend, we are seeing more than half a dozen movies hitting the theaters. This weekend is no exception. Nearly 10 Telugu films (straight and dubbed) are going to be released in the theaters. But none of them have created any buzz.

The dubbed movies ‘Maayaon’ and ‘Thor: The Love and Thunder’ were released today. On Friday, Lavanya Tripathi starrer ‘Happy Birthday’ hits the theaters. This is the only movie that gained attention from moviegoers.

Thanks to its interesting trailer and the promotion by SS Rajamouli, ‘Happy Birthday’ is trending positively. The film is directed by Ritesh Rana who made a mark with his debut feature, Mathu Vadalara. The trade pundits are expecting that multiplex audiences will show interest to watch the film.

‘Gandharva’, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Kaduva’, ‘Kondaveedu’, ‘Maa Nanna Naxalite’, and ‘Rudra Simha’ are other movies that are testing their luck this weekend.
