“HIT 3” grossed $1.5 million by the end of the second day, with numbers inclusive of premiere shows. The film premiered in the USA on April 30. The crime thriller is set to go past $2 million by end of the first weekend.
It will be the third film of Nani’s career that grossed more than $2 million after “Dasara” and “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.”
Nani has developed a steady market in North America and overseas for terrorists. So far, his 11 films have grossed more than $1 million in North America.
“HIT 3” also marks his fourth film to break the $1.5 million barrier. The other three are “Hi Nanna”, “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” and “Dasara.”
