Noted Malayalam director I.V. Sasi (69) is no more. He directed more than 150 movies in Malayalam but he was known to Telugu audiences for his Megastar Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kaali’ (1980). His ‘Guru’ starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi is also very popular in Telugu.
He had not directed any straight Telugu movie. Sridevi gained popularity with his early movies as glam queen. He made India’s first A certificate movie ‘Her Nights’ with Seema who later became his wife.
