I won't do such roles any more: Pragati

Pragati is called as beautiful mother of Tollywood. The senior actress looks damn beautiful even at this age. She has been playing mother roles to lead actors and actress for more than 15 years. She became popular with ‘Gangotri’ as beautiful mom. Since then she has been regular feature in all major movies.
 
However, she is missing from the screen of late. Why? I have stopped doing some silly roles, she answers. She further elaborates, “after a point of time, movie makers felt that I should be in every movie despite there is no scope for my characters and started giving me roles that doesn’t last not a minute. In one year, I did nearly 23 movies in which I did roles that required me to serve coffee or tea to the guests that arrive to the homes. Felt bored of doing such inconsequential characters.”
 
Pragati who is born and brought up in Hyderabad is now separated from her husband and is leading solo life with her son. She says she’d do character roles with substance now than appearing in blink-and-miss acts.
