An ideal release date for Prabhas20?

Prabhas’s current film being directed by Radha Krishna Kumar is facing a peculiar problem. Eyeing Dussera release, the team resumed new shooting schedules early this year but lockdown came as a jolt. Now, the movie cannot make it to the theaters this year.

Sankranthi 2021 is an ideal option but the film will face stiff competition in Tamil from Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ and Ajith’s ‘Valmai’. Due to lockdown, some of the Bollywood biggies which were slated for Deepavali this year are also eyeing on January 2021 slot. So, Prabhas’s movie may not easily get a date that will have not competition from other biggies. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ is also slated for Sankranthi 2021.

All in all, this film might be pushed to summer 2021. But 2021 summer will be crowded with multiple biggies.

So, #Prabhas20 which is yet to be titled will face problems in sorting out the release date. As Prabhas is a star with Pan-Indian appeal, his films need to consider ‘safe’ date in all languages. The film has Pooja Hegde as the heroine. UV Creations is producing this period romantic drama.

The film began its regular shoot in 2018. Since then it is facing production delays.
