Kamal Haasan takes the first dose of the COVID19 vaccine

Legendary actor and politician Kamal Haasan took the COVID jab. A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jab, Kamal Haasan has received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in Chennai.

He shared the photograph on Twitter. Perhaps, he is the first South Indian movie star to have received the COVID vaccination.

The 66-year-old actor put a hold on his movie shootings as he is campaigning for his party in the ensuing Tamilnadu assembly elections. The polls are to be held next month. Kamal Haasan is the president of MNM (Makkal Needhi Maiyyam), a political party that is contesting all the seats in Tamilnadu.
