Keerthy Suresh, the newlywed actress, hoped to make it big in Bollywood with her debut film, Baby John. Not only that, the film starred Varun Dhawan in the male lead; it was produced by Atlee, the Tamil filmmaker who delivered the biggest blockbuster in Bollywood with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Jawan.” Hence, she had big hopes for her debut Bollywood project.
But “Baby John,” which debuted in theaters this Christmas, is struggling at the box office.
In the first two days, the film raked in mere Rs 16 Cr in India. The film reportedly was budgeted at Rs 170 Cr. It needs to collect a minimum of Rs 100 Cr (net) to reach break-even. The team is hoping that the weekend collections will help the film.
Keerthy Suresh expressed her intentions to continue her acting career even after marriage. She recently tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Antony Thattil.
