Akhil Akkineni is celebrating his birthday today, and the makers of “Lenin” marked the occasion by unveiling a new poster featuring the actor in the title role.
The birthday poster presents Akhil in a rugged rural avatar, holding a flag in one hand and soil in the other, dressed in simple attire and slippers. The look hints at a grounded character rooted in the Chittoor region of Andhra Pradesh. Notably, this marks the first time Akhil is portraying a full-fledged rural role.
Interestingly, the poster prominently carries the release date as June 26, 2026, reaffirming the film’s new schedule after being shifted from May 1.
Despite ongoing speculation that Ram Charan’s “Peddi” could also target the same date, the makers of “Lenin” appear confident about sticking to their plan.
Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film is produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead, while music is composed by S. Thaman.
