Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Maharshi’ is all set to for release this 9 May. It is said that distributors are planning to hike the movie’s ticket rates in the first week in Andhra Pradesh. At present, the government is completely run by Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam as the election code is underway. Chief Minister and Ministers will not have much say to take decisions.
L V Subramanyam is known as strict IAS officer and he doesn’t agree to flouting the rules. Though there is a court order (which was given long back) for hiking ticket rates for certain films, it would not be easy to get permission this time. Will distributors’ plan work out?
‘Maharshi’ has done a whopping Rs 100 Cr theatrical business worldwide. If it has to recover the money, the distributors need to hike ticket rates for the first week.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, ‘Maharshi’ is produced by Dil Raju.
