Mahesh Babu now aiming for '2.0'!

Mahesh Babu’s multiplex in Hyderabad, AMB Cinemas, was to be inaugurated for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. The ‘Maharshi’ actor had grand plans for it.

Initially, he wanted his multiplex to debut with the Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan movie. He even planned to invite Aamir for the inauguration of the multiplex. However, it didn’t happen.

Aamir didn’t even visit Hyderabad to promote ‘Thugs’, which he knew would surely flop. So, Mahesh had to change his plans in the last minute. The Tollywood superstar now wants his multiplex to debut with Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’. It releases on November 29.

In retrospect, it’s good that AMB Cinemas didn’t debut with the flop Hindi movie.  Since both Rajini and Mahesh share the same moniker (Superstar), it will be a great coincidence if the Shankar movie is screened first at AMB Cinemas.
