Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Thandel’ to move to next year?

“Thandel” is confronting a unique situation. The release date for the film, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, was announced many months ago as December 20, 2024. The shooting is also continuing as expected.

However, several major films are now turning to December to set their release dates. Ram Charan’s “Game Changer,” “Kannappa,” and “NBK 109” are in the running. If either “Game Changer” or “NBK 109” arrive in late December, Naga Chaitanya’s film will have to change its release date.

Some suggest the filmmakers may comfortably postpone it until early 2025. But it is too early to discuss the postponement. There has been no formal notification from the makers of “Game Changer” about its December release date.

“Thandel” is a drama about fisherman imprisoned in Pakistan for breaching the international boundary. Naga Chaitanya portrays a fisherman, while Sai Pallavi is his lover. The film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by GA2 Pictures.
