Pawan Kalyan’s yesterday’s speech at the pre-release event of ‘Republic’ in which he took digs at the Andhra Pradesh government kicked off a political storm. The YSRC party leaders and ministers slammed him. A minister said Pawan Kalyan is non-serious and has no support from the public.
The other celebrities in the industry are keeping mum on this issue. They don’t want to themselves dragged into the political crossfire between Pawan Kalyan and the Andhra government.
However, Nani responded to Pawan Kalyan’s speech. He took to Twitter to thank Pawan Kalyan and made a sincere appeal to Andhra Pradesh CM to look into the genuine issue raised by the industry.
The Telugu film industry has appealed to the Andhra Pradesh government to revise ticket rates that were drastically reduced in April this year. The industry also requested the government to allow the second shows in the cinema halls as the COVID-19 situation is under control in the state.
