Nayanthara seems to be getting busy in Telugu cinema once more. She is already playing the female lead opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi in “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.” The latest buzz suggests that director Gopichand Malineni is planning to cast her opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna in his upcoming historical drama.
Balakrishna and Nayanthara have earlier delivered two successful films together: Simha and Sri Ramarajyam – where they portrayed husband and wife. Gopichand Malineni reportedly wants to recreate that magic once again.
As previously reported, the film’s high budget has become a concern for the makers due to the current slowdown in OTT deals. However, producer Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas is said to be going all out to bring in top talent, including Nayanthara, who commands one of the highest remunerations among South Indian actresses.
An official confirmation about her casting is awaited. The film is expected to be formally launched in the second week of November.
