Dil Raju is producing a film with Tamil superstar Vijay. The film, titled ‘Varisu’ in Tamil and ‘Vaarasudu’ in Telugu, is set to be released on Sankranthi. The film will compete in Tamil with Ajith’s ‘Tunivu,’ and in Telugu with two straight Telugu biggies – Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya.
The film has sparked debate over the issue of theatres. To make matters worse, Dil Raju recently made disparaging remarks about ‘Tunivu.’
Ajith fans have slammed Dil Raju, and the veteran producer has quickly realized his error.
Dil Raju, on the other hand, stated that he neither degraded nor elevated one star. He claimed that his statement had been misconstrued.
“My intent was never to insult any actor. I am film buff. Only in the context of the theatres issue did I make any reference to Vijay garu and Ajith garu. To fully grasp my point, you must listen to the entire interview. People are responding to social media posts instead of listening to my interview. I hope that all movies do well at the box office and contribute to the success of the film industry,” he said.
