No actor is like Kamal Haasan: Shankar

The audio launch for “Indian 2” was recently held in Chennai. Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Brahmanandam, Rakul Preet Singh, director Shankar, and other cast members attended the event.

Director Shankar revealed that the idea for the sequel came to him after the release of Rajinikanth’s film “2.0” and was inspired by the ongoing issues of bribery and corruption in India.

Kamal Haasan also praised Shankar’s vision, predicting that the film would be a big hit. He revealed that he asked Shankar to write a sequel to the original 1996 film two decades ago, but Shankar expressed his inability to write a script for it back then.

 “Now we have two parts: Indian 2 and Indian 3. I am excited about these films. Shankar is a visionary,” Kamal Haasan stated.

Kajal and Rakul Preet Singh thanked Shankar for giving them the opportunity to act with the legendary Kamal Haasan. The film will be released in Telugu as “Bharateeyudu 2”. Anirudh Ravichander provided the music.
