The creators of ‘Adipurush’ announced their release plans nearly a year ago. They announced that the film would be released in January 2023. Following the teaser launch, the company announced the exact release date as January 12, 2023.
‘Adipurush’ is one of the most eagerly anticipated Indian films. Om Raut directs the mythological drama, which stars Prabhas as Lord Ram.
According to recent reports, the makers are pulling out of Sankranthi due to competition from films such as Balakrishna’s ‘Veera Simha Reddy,’ Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veerayya,’ and Vijay’s ‘Vaarasudu.’ With the announcement of Akhil’s Agent’s Sankranthi plans, the speculations gained credence.
However, the producers of ‘Adipurush’ insist that their plans have not changed. The film will be released as planned.
The filmmakers also point out that none of these so-called Sankranthi films have announced a release date. “They have yet to set an exact date, whereas we stated that our film would be released in theatres on January 12,” the producer says.
