Official statement: ‘Vishwambhara’ pushed to summer 2026

We earlier reported that “Vishwambhara” was aiming for a release later this year. However, in a surprising move, the makers have officially confirmed that the film will now arrive in summer 2026, shifting from this year.

The magnum opus, in production for nearly two years, has been rescheduled to prioritize quality. Interestingly, a film launched just four months ago will hit theaters ahead of Vishwambhara.

To address the delay, the team unveiled a special video message from megastar Chiranjeevi.

He explained, “Many people have been asking why Vishwambhara is taking time. The delay is a conscious and well-thought-out decision. The second half of the film relies heavily on VFX and graphics, and the team is committed to delivering the highest quality without compromise. This extra time is being spent to ensure we bring you a film that is rich in detail and leaves no room for criticism.”

Produced by Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod under the UV Creations banner, “Vishwambhara” is directed by Vassishta. The fantasy drama stars Chiranjeevi alongside Trisha Krishnan, with Ashika Ranganath and Kunal Kapoor in key roles.
