Oscars: ‘All We Imagine As Light’ fails to make it to nominations

The 97th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars 2025, have announced their nominations. Payal Kapadia’s “All We Imagine As Light,” the only Indian film, appeared to have a chance of receiving a nomination. But the film failed to secure a nomination.

Rana Daggubati released the film in India, and it won numerous awards at various film festivals and award events.

The British Academy nominated the film in the categories of Best Director, Original Screenplay, and Best Film Not in the English Language. It also prominently featured in the Golden Globes.

The Oscars committee didn’t consider any Indian feature film in any category.
