Nani and Sudheer Babu starrer ‘V’ is out. The film is streaming on Amazon Prime now. The reviews have largely been negative. Most Telugu film critics have given a thumb down to the film with a rating of 2 to 2.5, which is generally reserved for a below-average film.
‘V’ is all about an army officer hunting down the people who caused him a personal loss. Predictable from the word go, the film is also being panned by the general audiences if we were to take the account of reactions on social media.
‘Gulabo Sitabo’, ‘Penguin’, ’47 Days’, ‘Sadak 2’, and now ‘V’, all these direct to OTT releases are giving an impression that the producers are selling off their ordinary films to digital streaming companies for a lucrative deal.

Although films like ‘Gunjan Saxena’ and ‘C U Soon’ have garnered good praise for their content, the majority of direct OTT releases so far have received thumbs down from critics.
