Holding paid premiere shows a day before the release is a double-edged sword. It worked perfectly for ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Arjun Reddy’. But most filmmakers fear the negative talk or mischievous gang.
Rajamouli, however, is confident in his film that he is contemplating holding paid premiere shows on 24th March night, hours before the actual release date (Feb 25). Rajamouli is the only big South Indian director who has not seen a single flop in his career. Moreover, he has been delivering big hits by each release.
The expectations on ‘RRR’ featuring NTR and Ram Charan are humungous. Hence, he wants to earn more bucks on an opening day by holding paid premiere shows.
These days songs have become a key to success. ‘RRR’ doesn’t have viral songs. But Rajamouli is confident that the content of the film and emotional sequences are enough to sway the box office.
