Tharun Bhaskar’s ‘Pelli Choopulu’ is one of the best movies made in Telugu in the recent times. The warm and relatable drama paved way for new talent in the industry. Although the director didn’t repeat the same magic with the second film, ‘Pelli Choopulu’ remained favourite for all film lovers.
As expected the film didn’t click in Hindi. The film was remade in Hindi as ‘Mitron’ with Jacky Bhagnani as the lead hero and it hit the screens this Friday. However, the reviews are not favorable. The collections are abysmally low.
Remaking movies like ‘Pelli Choopulu’ is very tough. The film worked not only for its simple storyline but for also the Telangana dialect, the humor. Same cannot be recreated in other languages easily.
