Rajamouli named Indian of the Year (Entertainment)

Tollywood’s top director S S Rajamouli was declared as Indian of the Year in the entertainment category by CNN-News18 for year 2015. CNN-News 18’s Indian of the Year 2015 awards were given to the winners on June 9th, 2016 at a glittering ceremony in New Delhi. While the Indian of the Year 2015 award went to People of Chennai, the award in entertainment category was given to Rajamouli. The director was present there to receive this honour. The national news channel termed Rajamouli as a visionary.

Ranveer Singh and Kangana received awards in special achievement categories from entertainment world.

Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali The Beginning’ became a blockbuster in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages and the film turned out to be one of the all-time highest grosser in Indian cinema. The film already won the Best Film award at National Film Awards and Rajamouli was awarded with Padma Shree.
