Superstar Rajinikanth’s new film has been postponed to Pongal 2021 due to the lockdown and coronavirus. However, the latest reports say the film will further be pushed to summer 2021 owing to the delay in production.
Tamilnadu is one of the states with the highest number of corona positive cases in India. The curve is unlikely to flatten in another two months. If the virus has not been contained before August, Rajinikanth’s movie will have no choice but postpone it to the summer. The film needs a minimum of six months to wrap up its production formalities.
Titled ‘Annaatthe’ (meaning ‘Brother) in Tamil, the family drama has Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, and Khushbu as the female lead. The film is being directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures.
