The shocking caste killing of Pranay has become a basis for Ram Gopal Varma’s new web movie titled ‘Murder’. However, Ram Gopal Varma says the film is not based on Amrutha and Pranay incident.
Last year in Miriyalaguda in Telangana, Pranay was murdered in front of his pregnant wife Amurtha by her father Maruthi Rao. Amrutha belonging to an upper-caste married Pranay, a Dalit guy, much against the objection of her parents.
RGV has made ‘Murder’ on the lines of the Amrutha-Maruthi Rao’s father-daughter story. The trailer is out. The film features Srikant Iyengar as the father and Sahithi is his daughter.
Directed by Anand Chandra, the film is presented by Ram Gopal Varma.
