Veteran Telugu producer Sravanthi Ravikishore produced a rural drama ‘Kida’ in Tamil which won accolades at the film festivals. The film is being dubbed and released in Telugu as ‘Deepavali’.

The plot of “Deepavali” centers on a grandfather, his grandson, and the pet goat they breed for a religious sacrifice. But after the goat is taken, all hell breaks loose. What kind of impact does this have on the family and on the villagers as a whole? The trailer establishes this plot.
The voiceover for the goat, performed by comedian Saptagiri, has a fun vibe.
The film received a standing ovation at the International Film Festival of India, Goa and the 20th Chennai International Film Festival where it won Best Film and Best Actor awards.
‘Deepavali’ is directed by Ra Venkat and it has Poo Ramu and Kali Venkat in the lead roles. The film is set for 11th November.
