Ravi mohan accuses wife of abuse amid ongoing divorce

Tamil actor Ravi Mohan, formerly known as Jayam Ravi, has responded to recent allegations made by his estranged wife, Aarti, including claims that he neglected his parental responsibilities. The accusations surfaced after Ravi was seen publicly with his girlfriend, Kenishaa.

In a new statement shared on Instagram—which he described as his final word on the matter—Ravi claimed he has been “stabbed in the back before, but now stabbed in the chest.” He accused Aarti of physically, emotionally, and financially abusing him during their marriage.

Ravi announced his separation from Aarti last year. The couple, who share two sons, are currently undergoing divorce proceedings in court.

The actor further alleged that Aarti isolated him from his parents and prevented him from supporting them financially.

“I was caged in isolation, unable to see my own parents for years,” Ravi wrote. “I was trapped in a reality that became unbearable, despite every sincere attempt to heal and save my marriage. Walking away wasn’t easy—but it became necessary. I share this with a heavy heart.”

He added, “What breaks me most is seeing my children used as tools in a public narrative driven by financial motives and a bid for public sympathy. I’ve been deliberately kept away from them since our separation.”

Regarding his new girlfriend, he wrote, With regards to Kenisha Francis, who was initially a friend that chose to save a drowning man, very quickly became a lifeline of support when I had nothing but tears, blood, and the courage to walk away from a life that nearly broke me.”
