Telangana State today issued Government Order RT No.475 for the 100% entertainment tax exemption for Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi. Director and producer Gunasekhar met Chief Minister KCR and requested for the waiver of tax for the movie to which the Chief Minister immediately agreed as per the policy of encouraging movies that reflect Telangana history and culture.
The G.O said…
The exemption granted shall be subject to the following conditions
1. The rates of admission fee to the said entertainment shall not exceed seventy five percent of existing notified rates of admission to each class of the theatre in which the film proposed to be screened.
2. The period of exemption shall be limited to one year from the date of first release of the film in Telangana state and
3. The film should not be screened along with any other feature film
